This message considers the joy Simeon expressed when he saw Jesus Christ for the first time. The jubilation is based on thousands of years worth of promises to Adam & Eve, Abraham, David and the people in Isaiah’s time being fulfilled in Simeon’s lifetime. Do we fully appreciate how privileged we are as we get to see Jesus in ways the people of the Old Testament never got to see. May God deliver us from lukewarmness, familiarity which leads to apathy, and may He cause us to marvel afresh at the incarnation of Jesus.
