Jonah’s second call to go to Ninevah is no small mean feat. It is difficult, dangerous and potentially disastrous for the prophet from Israel. Despite the odds stacked against him, we witness the extraordinary response of repentance from 120,000 in Ninevah. This was not empty words nor an outward show of sorrow. True repentance is soul crushing and mind changing. True repentance finds the mercy of God.
