4th Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11)

When the ten commandments were first given to the people of God, they were given to a people who had just been rescued from slavery. A command to rest one day in seven would have been seen as a great blessing and not a burden. Today, many struggle to rest because they fail to trust God’s goodness in his creational design. This message reminds us to to trust God in rest, and especially in Jesus Christ, who is our ultimate Sabbath rest.
