1 Corinthians - Messy Church

Have you ever been disappointed by other Christians? Ever witnessed bickering, mistrust or division amongst God’s people? Have you ever felt a certain individual is a write off or the church as a whole is a basket case, and that it would be better if we all just walked away?
Our first series for 2019 will look at Paul’s First letter to the Corinthians. The church at Corinth is a mix of Jews and Greeks, rich and poor, new and mature believers. This melting pot creates tension, division & discord. There are worship wars, church members taking each other to court, drunkenness at the Lord’s Supper, and a case of incest which everyone turned a blind eye to!
First Corinthians reminds us that true churches are often messy, and that we must daily apply the gospel to ourselves & each other if we are to conform to God’s plans for our lives.
Please join us 10.30 am Sunday to see how we need Gospel Grace for Messy Churches.
